Marco Romanelli

Born in Trieste in 1958, designer and critic, he graduates in Architecture in Genoa in 1983. He was editor of Domus from 1986 to 1994, of Abitare from 1995 to 2007 and he’s currently a columnist of Inventory. He organized numerous exhibitions: Aperto Vetro 2000 in Venice; in 2002-03 “Gio Ponti: A World” in London, Rotterdam and Milan; in 2007 “Bruno Munari” in Tokyo; in 2011 “Design una storia Italiana” in Roma; in 2012 “Gino Sarfatti” in Milan; in 2016 “Design behind Design” at the Diocesan Museum of Milan. He has written monographs on Gio Ponti, Joe Colombo, Gino Sarfatti, Ico Parisi, Bruno Munari, Umberto Riva, Paolo Ulian and others. He worked in the fields of interior design (his accomplishments have been published in major international magazines) and furniture design (together, until 2017, with Marta Laudani, he designed, among others, for Arflex, Azzurra, Bosa, da a, Driade, Fiam, Fontana Arte, Glas, Hands on Design, O luce).
